What an awesome race! I've been waiting a long time, 15 years, to race in the dark at Willow Springs. Last weekend it finally happened and it did not disappoint. Four hours at an average of over 100mph with two drivers in our car! I ran just over 300 miles in my three hours. We finished in second place just 2.17 seconds behind the overall leader in the former Dempsey Racing cup car. That's right, four hour endurance race with the top two cars 2.17 seconds apart! What an experience...

I've been gathering photos from a few places...most from my pops and the others here are from Kevin993 on Pelican. I was in the #23 car for the first and last stint. We led quite a few laps of the race and ran the fastest lap at a 1:21:1 but lost 75 seconds when the Dempsey car caught a yellow flag in the pits. Got all but 2 of them back in the last stint and just needed one more lap to attempt a pass but the checkered flew on us.
