As for driver fitness, it varies person to person and for different events. Running two sprint groups is different from running two enduro groups.
FWIW, I see less carnage at two-day open track events such as DMTD where people are tracking upwards of 4-5hrs daily than at most PCA races with two 20-30min sprint races a day.

The fitness thing is highly subjective, hard to assess/police, and also tacitly suggests that most PCA racers are outta shape. I understand the oversold argument but that only applies to a minority of races.

It's their way of taking the easy way out. Agree the oversold argument is valid at a few events but their overall position suggests they're just too busy to address an entrant's competency to drive 2 races. For most of us it's easy-peazy but they've taken the lowest common denominator and applied it across the spectrum....

[QUOTE=GT3DE;11345785]PCA nonsense:
Last year at Road America there were guys driving multiple cars in different classes.
So thought awesome and bought some more cars. I raced two cars at Summit and Carolina at the end of 2013.
Then I registered two cars at Sebring 2014. Nope, not allowed.
Then I registered two cars at Watkins 2014. Nope not allowed.
Asked for reason from PCA... crickets.
Asked again... ignored.
Asked again... nothing.
Wonder what will happen tonight as I again try to register two cars for VIR.
Looks like the only time you were turned down was at Sold Out events. Why should you get in an event with 2 cars and block someone else from getting in at all?

Should we have a fitness test before each race weekend?
From a lot of the guys I have seen racing at PCA I would assume that they wouldn't be fit enough to race AT ALL if there was a test/standard.
If the most unfit guy is okay to race 2 sprints and an enduro then I should be able to race in every sprint (6) and enduro (2 or 3) all weekend.
How many pullups, situps and jumping jacks do I need to do? Maybe run a few miles for them?
This is so f'ing stupid.

"Hey, did ya hear??? Clark flunked the fitness test and he has 3 cars here this weekend!"
Just poking fun… for the packed events the logic makes sense, but for the others… the more racers the merrier!
