Yes. I'm guessing the swearing got started even earlier and just wasn't vocalized or recorded. Glad you're OK MIke. Welcome to Spec Miata.

I'm amazed at how the swearing began as soon as the wheels touched down. I do remember while I was in the air calmly thinking "I'm upside down".

Oh my, really sorry to see that happen Mike, and at what appeared to be a very "safe" part of the track. Glad you are ok, that could have been a lot worse.

At least the car settled right side up and you had the wherewithal to hold back how you really felt lest it get recorded by the camera. I'd hate to hear the commentary if it wasn't being recorded.

Wow...
Good call on using this to emphasize good safety gear properly installed.
Excellent work on the video, too.
And glad you are ok.

Wow, you couldn't see that one coming. It's something that always amazed me in racing, how people can drive so close bumper to bumper without constantly running in to eachother. Well, it doesn't always seem to go as planned ...

Good to see that all that safety equipment worked as it is supposed to!

Btw what is the 2nd mirror for, on your right hand side?

I certainly didn't see it coming. Unlike a car getting loose in a corner where you are expecting it, this came without warning. There was zero time to react.

I put this together both to entertain my friends and also to remind us all that crap can happen. We should never forget that there are risks with what we do.

The mirror is a convex one that gives additional and better visibility out the passenger side window. I love having it, and wouldn't race without one.

I wonder if there is any proof tire walls like that are not very safe. -and really promote roll overs.
That certainly seems to be a conventional wisdom consensus from what I've heard around. I'll never forget my first race anywhere - at Hallett - watching an SRF back flip over the tire wall. Must have cleared the wall by a good 8'! Went backwards into the wall, rotated skyward, and all the absorbed energy in the tires came back to launch the car into the air like a rocket.

Thank gawd you were able to walk away from that, and if that doesn't build the case for proper safety equipment I don't know what would. Best of luck with the rebuild.
