Default Rigid iPhone mount

Hey y'all,

I am looking for a proper windshield iPhone mount to be able to run my laptimer properly.
Some suggestions would be very helpful!

Thank you!

I have this one:
RAM Suction Cup Short Arm Car Mount w/ Universal X-Grip Holder for Cell Phone SmartPhone iPhone RAM Suction Cup Short Arm Car Mount w/ Universal X-Grip Holder for Cell Phone SmartPhone iPhone

Works well, strong suction cup, flexible positioning, and accommodates different sized phones.

Amazon.com: iOttie One Touch XL Windshield Dashboard Car Mount Holder for Amazon Fire Phone and iPhone 6 Plus (5.5), Galaxy S5/S4/Note4/Note3 (HLCRIO101): Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: iOttie One Touch XL Windshield Dashboard Car Mount Holder for Amazon Fire Phone and iPhone 6 Plus (5.5), Galaxy S5/S4/Note4/Note3 (HLCRIO101): Cell Phones & Accessories

The suction cup can lift the glass on my coffee table. Absurd.

Position it in a way that you can get to the little "suction release tab" thing with some force or you're in for a PITA to get it off your windshield! I accidently positioned that tab up underneath my rearview mirror the first time I test fit it and it took me about 4 minutes to get it off again!

+1 on the RAM mount! I'be been using it and VERY happy!

I also recommend getting a proper GPS antenna.

Also, if you have a gopro or similar in car camera, you can overlay the data on the video quite easily:

Thanks Juha, that looks quite good.
Is it possible to film with the iphone without distraction?
I do have a GoPro 3+ too but I hate that thing.
By the way, your interior has some straight sweetness!

+3, great mount. I attach the suction cup to my Nav screen (no issues so after a season, and I saw someone else do it first!) and use it to mount an iPad mini running HLT. When I get my iPhone 6 I'll probably shift to that and use the windshield so I can get the video as well.

do it right and have it hard wired its not a big job! check out the company KUDA,they make mounts for porsche/iphones, that look factory installed, not sure its the best idea mounting on the windshield. you can see mine mounted in these pics, without the phone in.

To each of his/her own but I think having the phone on the windshield is much better than having it down in the console. This way you can keep your eyes on the road even if you take a quick glimpse at the phone. =much safer IMHO.

In the end it's down to personal preference, I think.

If you end up having the phone on the windshield and need to run a wire to it, a good tip is to wrap the wire around the cupholder. That way it will not be hanging over the shifter.

It's imperative for me to have it on the windshield to be able to film when using Harry's Laptimer.
To what I've read -thanks to all of you- I will be going for the RAM mount.

Thanks for helping!

My RAM mount worked perfectly with Harry's Laptimer. Great Combo.
