We had one of the Mazdas down here doing exhibition laps last year. Did sound amazing. However my jaw drops at the cornering speed of Tron's mobile!!

Yeah, that sounds great

1991 is old school? I remember when they used to allow passing.

Last Friday night I was watching the Audi LeMans car going around Sebring T17 from my hotel room. It is eerily quiet and I could hear some tire noise! It was also turning high 1:41s which is hard to believe.

That being said, I like the way things used to sound much much better.

The 787B is an incredible machine and the noise it makes is a big part of that. The only really good sounding sports car racers I've heard in person (I've only been going to races for 4 or 5 years) are the Ferrari 458 V8s and the Aston Martin V12 in the Lola chassis from a few years ago. But, these guys are out there to win, and if nice noises are lost in that pursuit then so be it.
