Got stuck in the traffic, namely behind Ericsson, on the only fast dry lap in Q2.

Yeah, that was pretty interesting.

Don't confuse HP with torque. Just because they have the wick turned down HP-wise doesn't mean that the thing isn't putting out gobs of torque in the lower rev ranges. Yeah, the chassis could be weak, but that isn't usually the case for McLaren. It could be that the motor is REALLY stout and once they let it run to full potential, look out.

If Ferrari's pace is real, and not just a result of wet conditions, it is only going to exacerbate the tension between Red Bull and Renault. It also takes away the argument that Mercedes is not catchable.

I'm not saying Ferrari is there - but they are gaining.

Christian Horner better put his big boy pants on tomorrow.

I heard a rumor that Honda is going to run an Accord tomorrow instead of their F1 car. Could it do any worse?

I would think Vettel would be happy with his choice about jumping to Ferrari this year ,,,Redbull really seems to be in a bad place at the moment and god help Mclaren...........

For qualifying, the track was WET, which obviously mitigates the Mercedes PU advantage (partly).

If the race is dry (which is a big IF in this part of the world this time the year), then the results will be similar to Australia's two weeks ago.

But true, Vettel seems to be demonstrating that he's more likely than the rest to finish 3rd in the points at year's end, proving the anti-Vettel crowd wrong. And to see Alonso near the bottom of any time sheet is almost surreal....

I'm glad I did not bet...:

1. Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari
2. Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes
3. Nico Rosberg, Mercedes
4. Kimi Räikkönen, Ferrari
5. Valtteri Bottas, Williams
6. Felipe Massa, Williams
7. Max Verstappen, Toro Rosso
8. Carlos Sainz jr., Toro Rosso
9. Daniil Kvjat, Red Bull
10. Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull

Ferrari's back, despite the fact that the world's best chassis developer moved to McLaren... I would have preferred Kimi to win, but him being 4th is a good result after lousy qualifying and that horrible 1st lap with 3 hits, leading to a puncture.
Bottas had a great race too! Toro Rosso rookies did a great job.

Christian Horner and Renault can suck it.

Good job to Vettel and Ferrari!

I am sure the Vettel haters while surface loud as ever (he has now won an F1 race in three different teams). But this is good for F1. Ferrari has definitely delivered a good car. Still not sure how they will do on some of the other tracks because I am sure the high track temperatures burned up the Merc tires. But at least we can now go into a race thinking 4 drivers have a shot to win this race versus only 1 or 2 running away with it all. Now if only Williams and Red Bull (I know asking a lot from a car powered by a French lemon) would up their game and join the fray at the front with the Merc and Ferrari.

PS: despite his troubles in qualifying and the punctured tire which sent him to the back of the pack. Great race from Kimi to finish 4th. Lewis took his 2nd place finish with grace, but Rosberg sure wasn't happy that all of a sudden he has competition other than Lewis to think about. LOL

The Ferrari is still a bit slower.... Just shows you how good of a driver Vettel is.
Rosberg is a spoiled brat still. Must be that privileged Monaco upbringing..

agreed, gr8 to have Ferrari back and strongly challenge the Mercs.

although still quite far behind Rossberg Kimi showed he could have been right there also if not for the flat tyre.
