And for something completely different...

While I do have a GT3, it mainly lives on the street, so I organized my own fun during the DE portion.

Apparently the SM field runs 2:45s? My best was a 2:56. Hard to believe I'm 10s off the pace, but I'll keep working on it! (The car is stripped and on R-comps, so it's not all down to weight or tire.)

PS. Some killer driving in the last few videos. I feel like I was on a Sunday cruise by comparison...

Haven't uploaded anything from the actual races yet, but here's the in-car of a rather "exciting" moment I had during Practice 3:

Very smooth Jason! Nice laps. Andy's car sure has some motor.

Here is my video from Sprint 2.

The driver of car #336 that you were chasing is my indy, and will be coaching me this weekend.

He had a great time, even during the rain.

Luke, did you find the cause of brake failure? Was it pad kickback from the rumple strip curbing maybe?

A bleed screw on the right rear caliper backed out, allowing fluid and pressure to escape. Apparently it's important to actually torque the bleed screws on Cups rather than do the usual snug-up. I imagine running over the rumble strips probably contributed to it backing out, as well as the caliper expanding and contracting due to heat.

Scary moment for sure, but at least it was an easy fix. It's crazy to think something that simple could have led to a tubbed car. Luckily there was no damage whatsoever to the car...didn't even lose the front splitter!

I've had a few really fun races with Dan before! He's great to be around on track and always races like a gentleman.

What an action packed weekend... I forgot we had a dude lose his coolant fittings in front of us on the back straight. Kinda code brown until it was obvious it wasn't slippery.

Holy crap, nice save. Surprised you were still able to steer somewhat in the gravel trap. It looked like you were still accelerating and upshifting when I thought you would be braking?

Well they said they would but..... I stayed "within the lines" it sure made the esses harder. Anyway, still learning the track, finished all 3 races, and made some more general progress driving the car (GTB1 Cayman). Off to WGI!
