It was a good race. I love this race because I do not have to DVR it. Lots of passing, and except for Renault, the programs are advancing, some slower than others.
One thing,
Kimi seems to be smiling more since Vettel came on board. I bet they are both working hard but having fun.
Both Button and Alonso seem to be working well together.

How about Riccardo's finish.

Man, That was exciting race to watch!
Love the Ferrari tire strategy that almost worked.
So Vettel couldn't pass Bottas because his new front wing setting was not optimal for top speed?
Go Kimi, The Iceman is back!!!

^ Nico did a great job. If he was complacent at all, this could have been another boring race. Some good aggression and driving out of him this time. Nice to see Kimi doing better.

Good race. If it weren't for the Vettel nose change, we would have seen 2 Ferraris on the podium behind Lewis with two different strategies. Arrivebene is doing a great job at Ferrari and the most promising thing is the small gap to Lewis. They're coming!!

I agree about Nico. I think he lost his mojo. Whether it is permanent or temporary will depend on if he can dig deep and find it within himself.
there was one move late in the race against Vettel (I think) that struck me more as desperation rather than aggression.
Kimi is a trip - "second place is not first." No podiums in a couple of years and that is his remark.
Disappointed Hammy did not hose down the girls on the podium. It is only carbonated fruit juice, and not champagne, since that are in Bahrain!

I enjoyed the split strategy of Ferrari... Good for them!!
Hammy just knows how to launch the car better than anyone... Nico always loses the race into the first corner by more than the spacing on the grid. I went back and watched a few of the first laps, it looks like Rosberg purposely holds back from the fight to save his fronts, then tries to close the gap when DRS is engaged. It's not working for him.
...I agree with others in this forum. Rosberg is really looking rattled... Certainly not as cool and confident as Keke. Nico needs to spend some time with his dad...

I'm not so sure. IMO Nico actually ran a good race. He managed to pass both Kimi and Seb on track, and I'm not so sure his braking error was him driving in the mirrors with Kimi behind as much as it was an indicator of his failing brakes.
If one is looking for an on track choke, I think Sebs error (that broke his wing) is a better example. He flat out blew that corner and it cost him dearly.

An interesting point to consider is that Hamilton's brakes also gave him trouble on the last lap... I would be inclined to believe that Rosberg did in fact have some sort of mechanical issue.

Toto said that both Mercedes cars had a brake by wire failure at around the same time. Rossberg's off was likely due to that, but I think Kimi would still have had him given the closing speeds. Rossberg was on old tires and there were a couple of laps left.

Increased chatter about 1000hp engines in 2017. Will there be many fans left?
