I am interested to see what's up with the Mercedes and how/if Ferrari can compete. Singapore was most likely a one off... If Ferrari is close at Suzuka, it could be an amazing race!!

Jenson Button is a class act. He will retire in style and will always be considered a fantastic racer IMHO. I remember him starting as a young guy in the sport, and he has really grown to be one of the great all around drivers. Here's to Jenson and a great career!

I see a return to the status quo for this race at a traditional track. Singapore was a one off fluke due to the excessive heat and the Mercedes sole weak link of tire degradation in those conditions coupled with the inability to stretch it's legs.

At Suzuka, it's not a flat out track like Monza, but it'll be way cooler than Singapore. The bulls should do well at this handling track as well.

1. Lewis
2. Vettel
3. Rosberg
4. Ricciardo
5. Kimi

I love Suzuka, but I think it does suit the Mercs pretty well. The first two sectors will go to the Redbulls, but from the hairpin all the way back to T1 will be perfect for the Mercedes. Ferrari will probably do well again, but I don't think they can overcome the straight line speed of the works Mercedes team.

thx Ray.

Would really put a cat in the pigeons if Ferrari could pull it off again but Merc may be too strong at this great venue.

Heart wants Kimi but brain takes over and give P1 to Hammi, Seb, Rosb/Kimi

Heres hopeful of a much safer race than last year!

Heart says Vettel. Brain says the guy with a 1-2 sec/lap faster car - Hamilton.
I, too, think Singapore was a one-off for MB. Hope I'm wrong and Ferrari has found the pace. I could live another DNF for LH. That would spice up the WDC.

Likely finish:
LH
SV
NR
Kimi or DR

I think Williams have lost their mojo.

Hamster will get it done, but voted Rosberg hoping for his ***** to drop.

If Lewis has a bad race a lot of people might start watching F1 again.

Rooting for Vettel and Kimi. Interested to see again how new PU versus new PU goes as it will be a good indicator of what 2016 will look like, especially with the Bulls running My Little Pony power.

Appears at least one dropped. Let's see if the other one follows tomorrow.

Love this track. Hoping for a bit of rain to keep thing interesting in the race.

That was a very violent crash......glad to see him walk away. Really showed the speed theyre doing.

Could be a good tussel between the Merc cars and then between Williams and Ferrari.

In car footage at 130R doing over 300kph is very impressive

massive crash in Q3 red flagged the session aborting the last runs........it does make for a more exciting grid IMO.

Not surprised that the Mercs are back on form. They were even fast in sector 1 which is where Red Bull dominates. Ricciardo looked great, but with no grunt down the straight.....

A pre-qualifying interview with Chris Horner was interesting. They are taking a lot of flack for criticizing Renault so heavily, but they are a customer paying for those motors. If they were free it might be a little different. Looks like they might have a deal with Ferrari though, which they desperately need.
