I agree with you and LH. Sochi is boring, hopefully the racing isn't... but I am not holding my breath.

I missed last year's race so it will be exciting for me to see the track for the first time. I saw rain in practice. That can always make things exciting for the race.

Missed the poll, but my vote is Vettel. The Mercs haven't figured out low grip circuits and the Ferrari has enough grunt to minimize what the Mercs can do down the straights. Red Bull might do something here, but they only seem to shine on go kart tracks right now. Wish that they had a real motor.

Mercs were faster than anyone else on Primes vs all others on options

The temps are really cold. The Mercs put more temp on their tires than others. Ferrari is very good on their tires and seem to do very well in Hot conditions. All their wins were in unbearable weather conditions (Malaysia, Hungury, Signapore). Mercs were faster than anyone else on Primes vs all others on options
Did anyone notice that once again the fastest seven cars down the straight were Merc powered cars. What this means is that even on a low grip circuit, no matter how poorly your car handles, with a Merc in the back you can make it all back up down the straight. F1 really sucks right now because of the motor restrictions. I truly believe that if there could be unrestricted development Ferrari would be right back in the hunt, and Red Bull would not be in a situation where they may withdraw for 2016.

a gr8 money saver would be to award the championships now, cancel the remaining races then contemplate what the finishing order for 2016 will be.......not much different than this year

yeah but i hear they're going to dub in 20k rpm V10 sound on the satellite feed in 2016, so we have that to look forward to...
On a serious note, TECPRO barriers are impressive. Wish more tracks had them.
