We are also tuning the tires to the suspension system. This tuning process is being done by Toyo, Speedsporttuning and JRZ. This car should perform well and be lots of fun to drive! The goal was to create essentially a detuned version of a GTBx car.

This....the aero kit stuff looks to be quite spendy considering the spec philosophy of the class - need some cost savings on this stuff.

Agreed. Just ran them at NOLA in the rain this weekend and they were horrible.

I ran R888's on my M3 sedan this weekend at VIR. Loved them. Managed to hang in the low 2:09's. Passing GT3's running Hoosiers. The tire is not the problem. How your using it is. Ran them on the GT3 there last year in the rain. Loved them.

Like I said, I hope it rains a lot this year.

Anyone have experience driving Toyo RS1?
I honestly didn't know this tire existed prior to looking into SPC.

I'm very intrigued by this class- I have a 944 spec car I've been running and have been trying to decide what's next. If any one has put together a build sheet with cost estimates I'd love to see a copy.

Looking at the Toyo site, the RS1 is a racing slick (non-DOT) but perhaps not as aggressive as other brands of slicks?

So I'm curious how the wear is relative to the Toyo RR or the Hoosier R7 (or Hoosier slicks if that's a more applicable comparison)? And how many heat cycles before they fall off in performance?

Have the wheel and tire sizes been decided yet? If so can someone post them?
