The weather certainly made this a much more entertaining race.
Interesting how Mercedes chose to give that info to ROS. I'm guessing that not passing along that info could have resulted in a disabled car and that's why they did it. I'm guessing they'll give a 5 sec penalty which will make young Max and RB happy with a well deserved 2nd.

That means ROS has a 1 point lead over HAM in the standings. Wow.

I believe the racing gods let it rain in honor of the AX at the Parade. The catches were amazing.

It's the FiA. They made a ruling that weakened the original rule. Typical FiA move, hurt the sport.

They should only hold races in the rain, or even better, changing conditions. Makes the strategy much more intriguing.

The ruling certainly was consistent with the reaction from the announcers who very clearly thought it was a prohibited communication. The question for Mercedes is whether they figured any penalty was worth whatever benefit they would get or if they legitimately thought the communication was fine. Given Hamilton's predicament recently I think the answer would be very interesting.

Overall an interesting race. Mostly predictable results. Judging from Vettel's in-car video, it looked like the front end washed away. Didn't change results. He had a miserable weekend, but not as bad as DR. He has got to be wondering what is wrong. Max beat him by 18 secs today, out qualified him today and has won or been on the podium 50% of his 6 race in the Redbull car.

I was hoping for so much more competition this year. Big let down.

Safety car start sucked!! That gave the race to Hammy... standing start would have been MUCH more interesting, especially considering Hammy's starts!
They are big boys, let 'em race from the red lights out!!!

I totally agree. The best part of the F1 weekend is the standing start. Trolling behind a safety car for 6 laps is really anti climatic.

Don't like the rule where the pit can't help a driver with a mechanical issue. Seems counter productive. Also don't like the grid spot penalties to change gearbox or engine for a crash. Too punitive

+1,000 on the negative comments about the safety car start. All these radio messages about standing water etc., one would assume with the goal of keeping the car out. Then, when the car does come in, WHAM, a huge portion of the field dives into the pits for intermediates (ironically creating a lot of danger in the pit lane... so much for "safety").
