I'm in...Spec E30. Not quite as many as the Miatas, but still over 30 cars. Should be awesome.

In for SE46. Pretty good sized field for a new class, 16 at the moment.

Nothing compares to the SM field. It's about 55 I think. 20% from Texas. Championships should just be in TX.

Haven't the champions always been from CA and the Southeast though?......

I think Danny Steyn will be the one to beat this year in SM. Always really good and yet to gain a championship.

Had the best result possible at the championships -

pole for both qualifying races.
1st place for both qualifying races.
pole for the championship race.
1st place for the championship race.

Take a look at the championship race - dicing through the out of class cars was fun!

My plan worked brilliantly. I figured if I ran DFL, by the end of the weekend at least 20 cars would either wreck or break. 55 cars at the start of the event. I finished 33rd. I actually passed a few people.

The trip went even better when we got to Mid Ohio. The people of NORPCA put on a great event. Super friendly and welcoming. I offered to help out with instructing and got a great student. And Pam (my better half) had a great time learning the track. Way to go NORPCA!

I'd like to pass along a special thanks to NASA for putting down all that speedy dry at the Glen and for the debris that led to about 6 punctures (including yours truly) at Group 52.
