Don't know that it was related but I suspect that this was at least part of the reason Magnus switched to Audi before the season began.

This BOP will be the death of some manufacturer's racing teams. It's a never ending task and becoming more convoluted every season.

I am sorry, but this and the WeatherTech withdrawal both have the optics of spoiled brats taking their ***** and running home.

IMSA GTD is in trouble. part is BoP, part is the "fake silver" problem, and part is the amount of money IMSA expects manufacturers to bring to the table for what is, by definition, a customer car series. add in wildly increasing budgets for the few Ams willing to foot the bill, and....

Disagree. Atherton in large part ruined ALMS, and the France family was not involved.

Indycar (think about that one for a minute )

Grand Am
they know how to game the system and play rope-a-dope. unfortunately when they "win", they still lose because the only business model they understand is the one that they built for NASCAR, which doesn't apply anywhere else.

BoP, is it based on the results of the IMSA supplied data loggers, this then determines the size of the mandated restrictor plates, or does it regulate boost on turbo cars? Not clear on this....
