So many of us are seeing this. I have been fighting Melanoma and Lung Cancer now for close to 10 years which seemed like a losing battle until about a year ago.
Started Opdivo a PD R1 inhibitor. Been on it over a year now and so far things look clean with no reactions to the drug.
As for Nico, mixed feeling here. If he's quiting for the right reasons, good for him.
OK - gonna play devils advocate here and all you an Luigi "Francine". Let me ask this... do you think for 1 second that Mercedes wouldnt have screwed him and dropped his *** for some young hotshot if they had the opportunity and thought they would benefit by a 1/10 of a second ? Of course they would have. I'm a bit shocked that people believe that he owes them more than they would ever give him.
Agree that Merc might drop a driver if an exceptional talent became available. The difference is that in that scenario Merc would pay out the dropped drivers contract.
Nico is walking from the balance of cash on the contract but he's also potentially going to cost Merc millions if they have to buy out someone else's contract to fill the unexpectedly empty seat. With that said, if they grab an obvious #2 maybe they'll save some money.
I'm hoping he takes a few years off, gets his $hit together, and goes racing again.
Though I do about 30 track days a year, I'm the farthest thing from anything resembling a pro driver. But, if I take more than a couple weeks off during the season, when I go back to the track I suck even more than usual Couldn't imagine taking a few years off.....which is why I viewed with great scepticism Ron Dennis' plan to have JB take 2017 off, then return to drive in 2018 when FA's contract runs out after 2017. All moot now.....

Guys, off base here, but how are you following racing? I don't know any of the stuff you're talking about besides "Lewis Hamilton" and keep looking for any sort of racing on DirecTV... do they not air anything like cup racing, F1 or anything else? If so, what station is it? I have all the packages and hope I'm just missing something somewhere!

F1 (Canada) is on TSN via Sky Sports feed. First time this past season they had a couple hours before and after the race with great interviews, reporting and other stories.
