Default installation of battery

I installed a new battery yesterday
now the car is running sluggish and the rpms seem to be low

everything is working in the car but it just dosnt seem to run like it was
did i do anything wrong? or am i just nuts

No engine warning lights? Car starts fine? Battery installation is fairly straightforward. I'm having trouble understanding how a battery could impact vehicle performance once started.


Perhaps if you provide more details about your vehicle (model, year etc.), the knowledgeable people around here can provide more input.

2008 Porsche 911 automatic
no warning lights
everything works
car starts fine

it just have the gusto that it had before the battery change

Did you at any time accidentally connect the battery with the wires the wrong way? If you did, you could have fried the alternator and ECU.

same exact battery as the 1 I replaced
never mixed up wiring

If the car was running at all with the old battery, try putting it back to see if it runs better again. A bit unusual for a new battery to be defective, but I'm sure it could happen ...
