Hi
Anybody going on the UAE Porsche club drive tomorrow to RAK. We just booked on the April 25th overnighter to Musandam also. I am going tomorrow seeing as I finally got my Targa back and its now almost roadworthy so looking forward to a proper drive.

Hi - would have loved too, but already have plans for tomorrow.
But pull my finger out and join the UAE Porsche Club so I get some prior notice of these events

Good to join but beware - you do not get notice - I just check the website regularly and see whats there. As an example - the Musandam trip wasn't showing a few days ago but it is now. There are only 30 rooms available at the hotel so I reserved it as soon as I saw it.

Have registered already and I'm checking out the events - probably can't make the Oman trip which is a shame as would have loved a proper road trip.
Currently thinking about the May 16th Driving Experience at Yas.
Have you done any of those before? If so, worth commuting or going with the overnight for the after party??

Hi. Not been to any of the Yas events so can't comment on what is best. Will probably go along at some stage but to spectate as I've just had the car fully resprayed and spent a fair bit on restoration type works so don't fancy pushing it too hard and seeing what comes off worst - my new paint job or a crash barrier! You might want to contact Holger on here - he has a 993 which he uses regularly for track days and can therefore probably give you better info.
