Yup, pretty clear like I said.... "Boehly and Lombardo found an increase of up to eight times in the fatality risk for occupants between the smallest and largest cars in the US. Evans, also in the US examined FARS data and noted a twofold increase in the fatality risk when the car mass was reduced from 1600kg to 900kg while Nygren in Sweden found that drivers of 800kg vehicles were twice as likely to be injured as drivers of 1400kg. vehicles. The mass effect has also been shown to be important in single vehicle accidents (Grime and Hutchinson, 1983). More recently Evans (1996) has demonstrated that the increase of fatality rates amongst small car occupants is causally related to the mass effect of Newtonian mechanics."
That paragraph is a continuation of the previous one that says that old studies have only concentrated on the relationship of the mass of the vehicle and fatality rates, and lists the paragraph you quoted as one of the old studies that paint only a small part of the picture (reprinted bellow for your reference):
Previous work examining the effects of car size on the safety performance of the vehicle has largely concentrated on the relationship between vehicle mass and fatality rate. Many analyses of real world crash data have substantiated the physical theory that the risk of death and serious injury increases in car to car crashes as car size decreases. (Joksch, 1976; Thomas et al 1990; UK Department of Transport, 1993, 1995; Boehly and Lombardo, 1980; Nygren et al, 1982; Evans, 1984, 1985, 1987).
It is the same fallacy that the COVID anti-vaxxers fall into. They read and latch onto a paragraph that says that on average 1 in 10,000 people will develop relatively serious side effects as a result of receiving an mRNA vaccine - which is undoubtedly true - but ignore the the fact that 1 in 50 will develop even more serious side effects as a result of contracting COVID. You read the second paragraph in the abstract, conveniently ignoring the first and the subsequent three, let alone the rest of the data.

Put the Roush suspension on my 2021 F150 Platinum. Rides nice and comfortable and levels out the rake. 275LT tires and airbags on the rear when carrying loads or towing a trailer it's pretty damn comfortable.
On Nokian winters not much slows it down.
RS6 coming ... at some point.

It's ok to admit your wrong.... Typical liberal painting everyone with the same brush though . Show me the statistics that show pick up trucks or large SUV's CAUSE more accidents. I would hedge a bet it has more to do with demographics.
I'm sure in a perfect world we could all just walk everywhere and be wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure if there were any accidents nobody got hurt.... but on reality the smart car vs the Semi I will take my chances in the pick up truck.

They are also more likely to run over pedestrians.

There is nothing political in those studies despite the fact that you're obviously drinking the Trump branded Kool-Aid and erroneously equating legitimate data that doesn't reinforce your preconceived notions with political propaganda.

yes it always is. You have good speed limits, drivers, nice roads and apart from driving in a town or city you arent sitting at endless traffic lights. Had a BMW 1er as a rental. We rented a cottage in Oxfordshire as all our friends live near

Statistics and facts are interesting things aren’t they? This has been an entertaining thread to follow and I admit has had me looking up any number of subjects ad nauseum…

Well, on the other hand, a pic from the Nürburgring shows Shell premium for EUR 2.26/litre, so about 3.07/litre.
Could be worse, though the gap has tightened.
