They are not stupid enough to believe the political rhetoric or object if taxpayer money is on the table. The EV future is a fantasy of the economically illiterate that is completely infeasible beyond rich guys toys. ICE will continue to be alive and well for the foreseeable future because it is the only option that offers utility and economy, and has all of the infrastructure in place to service it.
