Default Out of control gas prices!

I recall when gas first hit $1.40 a few years back because oil prices were $140 per barrel. Well currently the barrel is around $65.
We can't do anything about the prices but I also recall in middle school when Canada first went metric.

What's affecting gas prices now is a weak CAD $. Back when oil was over $100, the CAD $ was on par or greater than the USD. Oil is priced in USD...
I'm in Montreal, and prices are on average higher by 10 to 15 cents versus Ontario. Just this week regular hit 1.51 !

Vancouver hasn't seen $1.40 in a long time. $1.60 here for regular. $1.75ish for premium.

I dream of $1.40

At 1.40cad you’re paying about same as we are in SoCal per gallon. It’s over 4 here.

Gas has been stable at $1.25 - $1.27 here in Woodstock and Oxford County in general, which is not typical as we are often higher than avg.

A friend once ribbed me by observing that there has to be some irony in complaining about gas prices...& still be driving a Porsche...

Taxes + inability to build pipelines + stringent environmental laws precluding new refineries = pricey gas. Millennials are screwed.

The Chicago area is fairly high now, $3.03 & $3.49 per US gallon for 87 octane regular and 93 octane premium, with oil at US$65/bbl or Canadian$83.85/bbl. This converts to $1.03 Canadian$/Liter and $1.18 Canadian$/Liter. The Chicago area has plenty of taxes on that gallon.

Not at Ontario electricity prices and have you checked out the battery replacement cost on these things? Also, might not make it back from the 711 with the AC on.
