Hi Gerrard,

Do you have any recommendations on how to clean out a seat belt? My seatbelt has absorbed a lot of sweat over the summer and it is pretty gross. Thanks in advance!

For sure! You could try Gyeon FABRIC CLEANER along with a detailing brush to agitate the cleaner into the belt. I'd suggest spraying the cleaner onto your brush then agitating rather than spraying the belt directly (which will saturate a small area and not spread very well). Then wipe clean with a damp MF towel, then squeeze the belt dry with a dry MF. Try to keep the damp belts off of the leather to avoid damaging the leather.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gerrard...quick question for you! How does ceramic coating hold up on cars that are taken through touchless washes? TIA, Mark

Hey Mark! It holds up well. Ceramic coating is very chemically resistant, so the detergents can't really do any damage. The friction from the pressure is probably the bigger issue.

It's not a bad way to maintain through the winter, but touchless washes will still leave some residue. A proper hand wash is still the safest way to get perfectly clean.

Hi, I’ve got some light scuffs on the small “smoking package” flip cover in my 718 GTS. I think I did it getting in and out with my phone in my hand. Any idea how to get them out? It isn’t a scratch, just a marring of the surface. I can’t post pics if that helps. Great thread!

Yes, pics would be very helpful. If it's the textured plastic that is scuffed, then there's no remedy (other than replacement). If it's gloss carbon or something, it might respond to polishing.

Post a pic and maybe that will give us a better idea of the type of scuffing.

Thanks!

Hello Gerard
I purchased this from you last fall and am ready to apply it.
https://therefinery.ltd/collections/...cts/gyeon-trim
How would you clean the plastic trim pieces before application?
Thanks very much

It's usually sufficient to use a car wash soap to remove any dressings and debris. Using a stronger all-purpose cleaner (like P21S) would help remove any residue and dressings even better.

HTH!
