Until reading this thread today I hadn't heard of this service and figured I'd just have to wait to use my regular US mailbox until the borders reopen. Thanks for the thread Iceman and all the replies. Once again Rennlist rocks the house down.

Reminder to call your credit card company or Paypal to register your new US address so their system doesn't flag it as fraudulent transaction causing unnecessary delays when you buy stuff

Did you click on the "ship to Canada" icon? (the little truck). Once you enter the info/receipts, you have to click on that icon. At that point, it is brought into Canada and will be ready for you to pick up within a couple days.

I want to mention that CBP offers Canada to USA delivery too. I shipped stuff with them many times and compared rates with shipnerd.com, CBP is always cheaper and when it comes to fast (2-3 days) FedEx service they offer much lower rate. As far as I know this (outbound) service has not been affected by delays recently. Shippsy doesn’t offer outbound service.

I just provide the address in the following format to the Vendor.
  • My Name
  • 4600 WITMER IND EST 4
  • SHP####
  • Niagara Falls,
  • NY 14305
All shipsy really needs is the SHP number ## , but I add my name to personalize it. Some places don't like shipping to PO boxes, and essentially that's what it is.

I want to correct my statement about Shippsy. They offer outbound service through Stallion Express, which is Shippsy's parent company. You have to register with Stallion separately though. I compared their rates with CBP but was disappointed. There is no FedEx option, and I was only shown USPS prices which were much higher than CBP's (for a 20x20X12 30lb package)

this should be a very informative exercise, i hope we are comparing apples with apples and both packages arrive at these places at close to the same time ...

should be a a great comparison of timing, cost, and customer experience.

I just noticed Shippsy is now offering rewards. From their website: "Once the person you referred uses your unique link to register and pays for their first shipment, their referral status will be activated and you will both receive $10."

Here is my referral link. If anyone is thinking of registering, use it and we'll both earn $10 to use for shipping
