survey: what do you pay for an oil change?

As far as oil, I'd honestly rather pay someone to do it than waste my time, but by the time I drive the car to a shop, either drop it off, get rides to and from, or find something to do while they work on it... it's basically faster to just do it myself. I tell myself eventually I'll find someone to come to my house and just do it for me, but we'll see when my laziness to avoid changing the oil overcomes the laziness preventing me from doing that.

Drifting
Used to do it myself (about $90 with filter) but I have a nice new patterned concrete driveway so nope. Now I go to a garage in Oakville that services my other cars including the Cayenne and its $150, (uses Motul). And hes not **** about shop rules, I stand under the car and chat with him while he does it. FYI: Just had a good experience at Mantis changing axle seals and trans gaskets, (again with that driveway paranoia). New owners are great, (not that Ernie wasn't)

There are only two things that will cause a divorce at my house. The HVAC thermostat and running out of my preferred beverage.

$80 DIY... I don't know about other porsches but the 996 is pretty easy. The 997.2 oil change may be the easiest oil change ever as the filter is in the engine bay, the only exception that the car is low so needs to be jacked up.
I imagine 991 and more modern porsches may have a lot of plastic cladding that has to be moved which really turns me off from DIY.

[QUOTE=pfitzsim;17440744]Never heard of Quidi Vidi 1892 until today. Planning a post Covid road trip with the family to the rock so will have to check it out then!!![/QUOTe
I was in St. John’s on business. Only time there. Quidi Vidi 1892 is the best beer I have ever had. Smooth, strong taste and no bitterness. Never at Lcbo or the Bier Market. Don’t deliver to Ontario either.
