New Lexus LX600
Just wondering what you guys think about the new LX from Lexus. Anyone have any experience with the old LX570. Don't see too many around. Inquired to a couple dealers and they did not seem willing to budge off MSRP and said I would go on their waiting list to receive one in 12-14 months! I looked around to make sure I wasn't at the Porsche dealership buying a 911.LOL Are these that popular? Or are dealers using covid excuse? Thoughts?

I agree I never considered the LX570, but the new 600 I actually rather like. Step up in tech big time and for some reason I like its ugly face.... not sure why tho! Not sure if I can justify 110K for it.

If you only have two kids, you don't need anything that large, or a Range Rover. I have four kids, and I've been emailing with a deal in Florida who is giving me 2% off MSRP on the LX 600. I'm flying down Monday for it, and if I buy it, I'll drive it back. I haven't test driven one yet, but from everything I read, it's amazing.

I had a Lexus GX (stolen) and stayed pretty active in the Lexus community. A few friends have the 570 and similarly to my GX it was an extremely dated design mechanically and feature wise but rock solid reliable and very comfortable. I did not experience any issues during my ownership outside of regular maintenance which you can service at just about any indy shop if you want to skip the Lexus service experience (which was actually pretty good). One of their current gripes is fuel efficiency which I might not be as bad with the 600 as I believe it will use the same motor as the new Tundra... except likely requiring premium fuel. The 600 looks like it solves a lot of the 570's problems and still has a classic body on frame design, very capable off road... I'd consider it over a range rover IMO. If you live close to a city and park outside I'd also be worried about theft.... no different than a range rover.

Lexus is 6” longer, same width, 5” taller
Front headroom 3” less Lexus, rear same (this seems unusual - likely not actually 3”, maybe an error on Toyota’s site)
Front legroom 1.5” more Lexus, rear 0.75” less
Front shoulder room 1.5” more Lexus, rear 1” more Lexus
*** (Compared to X7) Third seat headroom: 1.25” less than X7, legroom 2.25” less than x7
