Insurance for your 911.
Hey all,
what are you guys are paying for your 911? Which insurer?
my 2017 c2s is 2675 per year .. 1000 per year when on fire and theft with cooperators.
Seems like im paying too much,
Just did a quick quote with CAA and they quoted 1400 for full coverage.

Changed all my cars from TD to CAA as they have aggressive pricing the last year. Paying the same total for all 3 vehicles as I was prior to getting my Porsche with just two vehicles. $1k deductible on the other two vehicles.

I was with CAA and was paying $1,460 on my '22 C4GTS. CAA has expanded very quickly into luxury vehicle and homes and we eventually were forced to go with a new insurance company after CAA and the broker who set us up with them completely dropped the ball on setting up our policies. I've been told anecdotally CAA, while cheap, is a nightmare to deal with if you actually have a claim. I switched to Unica and pay $1,900. Better broker, and service. Quite happy with the increased peace of mind if something should happen.

Caa insisted that a tracker be installed that would monitor my speed , driving habits..Noooo way. End led that call quickly.

Weird. Didn’t do that with me. I think they said if I had used their app to monitor driving habits they’d give 5% off at first and it would grow to 10% off. But had zero interest in that.

Desjardins tried that driving habit tracker thing with my wife ... i told her to refuse and they negociated something with her to lower the premium.
I'm with Allstate just because i'm too lazy to shop around , i tried once and lost patience !
They told me i need to get my 89 911 evaluated this year by one of their certified evaluators if i want to be insured, curious to see how that's going to pan out ...
Cheers

I was getting screwed by TD. Was supposed to have some sort of “discount” as part of my designation and whatever they negotiated there. Didn’t check for years. Last year I decided to shop around as I was paying $5k on my house and almost $4k for a 2018 Audi Q5 and 2022 Tesla Y.
Switched to CAA for the vehicles and then Cooperators for my home as they were the only ones that would provide Water coverage in my area (CAA limit was $50k for water damage and TD was $25…wth?). Am now paying half in total what I did before with significantly more coverage.
Had there been a flood in my basement I basically wouldn’t have been covered at all under my wonderful TD plan, but that was never mentioned when I bought the new house.
Make sure to read the fine print, and as a buddy of mine told me last year, be ready to change every 2-3 years as your rate just will go up naturally.

I am with CAA/AMA - No one could touch their price. 2023 TTS, new, $4650/year. Car is parked in the winter for actual pay is quite a bit less. Keep in mind this is for a car over $300k.
One thing to consider with CAA/AMA, they take the insurance price/coverage price from the MSRP BASE price of the car, with no options. I have had several emails with them about this and they say their system automatically puts this number into the file and they can't change it. I have emails saying they take the purchase price and options into consideration, however I could not get any specific wording what that means. Why I was concerned, is because they supply ~2 years of full replacement valve.
Other insurance companies wanted driving history of high performance cars and crazy deductibles. CAA was $5000, my existing ins co at the time was quoting $25k deductible.

Here's a question...if your car is stolen (not recovered) and insurance pays out do your rates increase even though you're not at fault?

I was with UNICA up until this year. They wanted to dramatically increase my rates after moving into a new house.
Overall it was a good experience when my RX was stolen. The payout took quite awhile, but they covered the added weeks for my rental.
