It is an official Porsche dealer, I have an invoice for storage from them at their facility so I wasn't aware they were sending it off to another place, if that's what happened.. It's a 997.2 I will see if they actually do anything today otherwise I'll talk to a lawyer and see what the best path forward is. Porsche Canada might also be a start.

If it's the dealer I'm picturing they do have a massive underground storage facility, I doubt they would send it off-site. Based on my own recent experience, I'm not surprised they're fobbing you off with "we'll get back to you" and never do.
I would be beyond raging over this.
But, I would remain hopeful that this isn't a case of something extreme like it got damaged or stolen, more like they just can't be bothered to relocate it and you're just the victim of some extremely ****ty service.
Go there in person and insist on a walkaround of the facility with the service manager?

Race Car
There's no way a dealer accidentally sells a car, it's just not possible with the amount of times a VIN gets entered into a computer, bill of sale, registration transfers, etc. But like Rod said, I'd have lost my mind within 48 hours!

Something definitely not proper here. I'm more than a little surprised the dealer would say they'd "misplaced" the car for even a day. The time period being discussed here? Crazy. Personally, I would have made a trip to where the car was supposed to be stored immediately.

Sorry to hear and like others have said I'd have already driven over there and grabbed the GM by the neck and said "Let's go for a little walk...". I don't get how long this has taken...not good.
They must be relying on a service lot attendant or someone useless to be looking or in fact is gone!

I stored with a dealer here for a period of time. They got out of the business though a year or so ago.
Keep us posted. Very interesting. Surprised you waited months before taking action. They should know where your car is right away, if not, at least within a few days. Otherwise something is up.

Hi all, have a 911 in storage with a Porsche dealer in Ontario while our house was getting built. I have spent two months trying to find out where the car is as we want it back in the coming months and now they can't find it. Can't get any answers, have no leads aside from an invoice for payment for storage. Have actually asked for a photo of the car to confirm they still have it. Every call turns into a "we'll get back to you" and then nothing.
Where to go from here?
Where to go from here?
Maybe it was damaged and is at a body shop somewhere.
I hope you logged the mileage during drop off.
