911 in storage gone
Hi all, have a 911 in storage with a Porsche dealer in Ontario while our house was getting built. I have spent two months trying to find out where the car is as we want it back in the coming months and now they can't find it. Can't get any answers, have no leads aside from an invoice for payment for storage. Have actually asked for a photo of the car to confirm they still have it. Every call turns into a "we'll get back to you" and then nothing.
Where to go from here?

time to lawyer up. what model is it?
I would also run used vehicle package to make sure they didn't sell the car...either on purpose or by accident.

first of all , will Porsche dealers actually store your car for you ?? ive never heard of this !. if they did i wonder if they charged you then outsourced it to someone else and have it stored off site somewhere and they are trying to locate it.
This all does sound very odd. I really doubt they sold it as i am sure there would be all kinds of checks and clearances it would have to go through, but if it mysteriously went missing it certainly would not show as missing out of their inventory of cars for sale and could go unnoticed.
gonna keep an eye on this one.

Thanks everyone for bringing up a few more things to think about. We've been trying to get answers for months and they've finally agreed to look into it today. It is weird as it was supposed to be on trickle charger, started up on a regular basis etc and now it appears more like it was thrown in a corner somewhere and abandoned. The vehicle has a huge sentimental attachment for various reasons so it's all been pretty traumatic.

was it a classic ?
when you said you have been calling i thought you meant a couple days .. a couple months ? I would have had the dealer principle talking a lawyer by now.

Was this an official Porsche dealer and not a reseller or the like?....I have not heard of the dealers doing storage- tried a few years ago and at least at my dealer they did not do it. If it is in fact a Porsche dealer I would additionally report it to Porsche Canada as well as the actions suggested above by others.

My thoughts exactly Ronan, they don't even want their own cars on the lot for long , never mind somebody else's.

PCO was offering storage a few years ago. It was actually pretty reasonable at the time.
