Yes, and they are running a business focused on profit and driven by metrics. What is the problem aside from you feeling that they owe you something that is no longer realistic? If they were really after every single dollar + cent they would charge $2k like Pfaff. I'd rather deal with someone who just doesn't do it at all versus charging an outrageously inflated fee to do 30 minutes of paperwork.

You are obviously missing the point , no one owes anybody anything .. but if you don't focus on your customer and make sure they feel look after , they will move away from your brand , and then your shareholders certainly wont be happy. The customers pay EVERYBODY .. without them , you have nothing.

I think the point Vise is making is that its better to pay $500 and still get the tax savings on these high $ value machines vs NOT having the option for a pass through sale.

I totally agree with that, but his last sentence, "I'd rather deal with someone who just doesn't do it at all versus charging an outrageously inflated fee to do 30 minutes of paperwork." - threw me off.

I did a pass through this December at PCO. No issue and they didn't charge me anything.
