Not Porsche specific but I did a pass through sale last week with no fees. I was anticipating at least $500 for the extra ‘work’ involved.

Yes, and they are running a business focused on profit and driven by metrics. What is the problem aside from you feeling that they owe you something that is no longer realistic? If they were really after every single dollar + cent they would charge $2k like Pfaff. I'd rather deal with someone who just doesn't do it at all versus charging an outrageously inflated fee to do 30 minutes of paperwork.

To each their own of course...

You are obviously missing the point , no one owes anybody anything .. but if you don't focus on your customer and make sure they feel look after , they will move away from your brand , and then your shareholders certainly wont be happy. The customers pay EVERYBODY .. without them , you have nothing.

I learned a long time ago, there are customers not worth the time and effort and can never be pleased no matter what you do for them

What is no longer realistic? Charging a reasonable fee for the 30 minutes of paperwork? Not trying to be argumentative, I just don't get the point you are trying to make.

I think the point Vise is making is that its better to pay $500 and still get the tax savings on these high $ value machines vs NOT having the option for a pass through sale.

I totally agree with that, but his last sentence, "I'd rather deal with someone who just doesn't do it at all versus charging an outrageously inflated fee to do 30 minutes of paperwork." - threw me off.

I did a pass through this December at PCO. No issue and they didn't charge me anything.

I'm sure there are a few here that have made good money for 30 minutes of work.
