Boeing 787 and some F1 action from Bahrain...
I'm very happy by the quality of this picture considering it was taken after sun down (getting dark), without a tripod (hand held), with a 500mm lens. This was at the Bahrain GP on Saturday March 2nd just before the F1 race... The Gulf Air 787 was flying at 500 feet AGL over the crowd, pretty cool. Taken with my Nikon D500 and my 200mm-500mm zoom lens, ISO 2500, F/5.6 at 1/320 sec.

Nice pics. My son and I plane spot alot and it is not easy to get shots like that. To bad it wasn't the roar of a 777, it is amazing how quite the new jets are.

Despite Boeings issues, the 787 is a beauty to fly on, especially in biz class. Don't feel like a bag of garbage, the air is good and its super smooth.
Beauty pics, love the 787 pic.

Your heart and lungs appreciate the 787. In 65 years of passenger jet travel this is the first time you can breathe air which has not first run through the engine for a nice infusion of hot synthetic oil vapor, and you are breathing at an altitude of only 6000 feet, compared to the 8000 of every previous airliner.

Nice shots.
I love the engine whine of the 777 on take off and climb.
just had 15 hrs on 777 and will have almost 17 on 787 tomorrow.

Just today I flew ANA 787 Fukuoka to Tokyo Haneda
then Air Canada 777 Haneda to YYZ
Flown around Asia on both these Aircraft the last couple of months...
787 seems quieter and more comfortable somehow

It is!
Better aircraft performance climbs faster to higher altitudes, cruises faster too.
A better pressurisation system with a lower cabin level and much better humidity to keep you comfortable.
However that still lags compared to the top of the line business jets like a Global Express.
