Not really, even a super basic 2x4 and plywood table screwed together would cost more than that in lumber - just a single sheet of 3/4" plywood is $65. Let alone something with a butch block style top and finished surfaces and leveling legs.

I'm all for DIY work benches, mine in the garage are exactly that, but they cost a lot more and you need the time and tools to actually make them.

I just built a work bench up north. Bought is always nice, but never fills the hole I need. Also, I'm cheap ... I mean resourceful. Friend was tossing a new Ikea kitchen. So I grabbed it, knocked it down and moved it north. Brother in-law had some extra flooring boards for the bench top. Total cost? free, except for screws and glue, and I have the power tools. No it does not look that clean now. 100's of ski tunnings, fixing hot tub pumps, dents, cuts, blood.

I'd welcome any suggestions RL's might have on good items to get from CT. I am pretty much tooled out, and have mostly Milwaukee and Makita stuff (that CT doesnt carry). I have about $700 of CT money to use up. We have the CT Options mastercard.
Wife's been siphoning off Cdn Tire money from the Mastercard, but was able to put $355 towards a new bike carrier....
