Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye
Anybody here have one? Thoughts on the car (not comparison to a Porsche/911/Cayman or the like)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

have a 6spd Hellcat Challenger at work, nice cruiser car...IMO great roadtrip car besides fuel mileage, but not a sportscar

Also been contemplating an AMG GTR, but prices are still high. Will see what the new one will be if they do it, think they will.
Want a silly v8.
Had a 2017 GT350 but wasn't thrilling enough, sold in about a year or so.

I have a thing for 8 cylinder German cars! But, if 8 is good 12 is better. Lol. It would've be amazing if Porsche would have put their current Turbo 8 in a front engine coupe?

If you want silly V8 this will fit the bill. Went for a ride in one last year. Definitely more silly than sports car.

I got a Challenger R/T rental last year for two weeks. 100% agreed with 993GT - definitely more touring/road trip car than sports car. I really enjoyed it for the drive around Los Angeles and to/from San Diego.

Aren’t they hard to find? Limited numbers?

Probably. I haven't looked yet. Just lusting at the moment. I don't even know if they build new ones, it's showing as 2023 model year being the last. But I think Dodge MYs are extended into new CYs, anecdotally when I was looking at their trucks last year.

I don't think they are building them anymore. Honestly after 20 minutes the one trick pony wasn't kinda meh. Your just asking to lose your license.

I have had 3 Hellcats, charger and challenger variants. They are WICKED cars. Pinnacle for big comfy cruisers, but I felt all my automatics were boring TBH. Kind of a 1 trick pony. My manual tho...what a riot it was(not available in redeye).
They aren't a good 1 summer car solution, but if you have an engaging sports car, and just want a big cruiser I cant recommend one enough. I actually feel like the Widebody 392 Manual is the real sweet heart in the line up.

AMG GTR bi turbo is sweet too, they make glorious v8s combined with their OE exhaust system.
