Default OT: Used Interior Parts for BMW - GTA

Sorry for the OT question, but where can you buy used interior BMW parts in the GTA? The plastic console on my 00 323i needs replacement.

I am just prettying it up for sale & the car is decent but the trim piece with the window switches is delaminating & an eyesore.

Anybody?

Thanks

Ian

btw 00 323i 5spd dark blue 163K CDN car - mechanically sound - medium condition (stone chips some interior wear etc) - what's it worth? I was thinking $7-8K but I want to move it quickly.

Hi Ian, there is a BMW Dismantler on Steeles ave west of Markham Road, 416-261-4116 or 416-335-7170. Give them a call and see if they have what you want for what you want to pay. I bought from them a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure how things are now.

Thanks Mark but he doesn't have any BMW parts. He suggested Standard on Sewells Rd but they don't sell any interior parts.

Ian, which trim piece do you need?

I buy my BMW parts from Tischer BMW in the US. The sell BMW parts cheap and they ship USPS ground to your door. Plug the part number into there site and see the price of the part would be.

Until I take it all apart, I don't have part #s. Heres the pic:

It looks like I'll need the base piece (that the e brake is in) + the cupholder + that silly change thing - both of which are inserts. Hopefully, it's not all one part along with the armrest.

Thanks guys

Ian

Gee Ian, that color interior may be a bit of a challenge to find used... . What color is that?

Here is the part diagram and numbers:

I have been deciphering those diagrams too.

It looks like:

1. Part number: 51 16 8 234 155 Console, short HELLBEIGE (diagram #1)
2. Part number: 51 16 8 217 955 Drink holder HELLBEIGE (diagram #5)
(Old part number: 51 16 9 415 184)
3. Part number: 51 16 8 217 959 Oddments tray with coinbox HELLBEIGE (diagram #6)

There seems to be 3 colors - black, beige & grey.

Ian, for comparison sake I took the liberty of looking up what the parts prices (US$) from Tischer BMW would be:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...4672&makeid1=3

1 Console (Beige) 51 16 8 234 155 $50.70

5 Cup Holder (Beige) 51 16 8 217 955 $30.40

6 Coin Box (Beige) 51 16 8 217 959 $27.60

7 Cup (Beige) 51 16 8 242 860 $12.46

If you're going to order, you should double check the part numbers are correct. The shipping rates are reasonable with USPS ground (3 week delivery) to Canada. Additional charges for taxes (14%) and brokerager charge ($5).

Good Luck!

Thanks, Mark!

I will check with some vendors tomorrow. Service is backed up until the 13th, so I have time. Another damn airbag light & the safety & emissions. Each time the light comes on it's $1000.

I'll AutoTrader it next week or so.
