Couldn't ask for a better day than today! Guessing most were out of town for the holiday.
JJ's stylin' new wheels:
My stylin' old wheels...
And then there were three...
Considering a change of venue to a more southernly location that would keep us all from having to slog through town to get to the Trainyards. We found a small coffee shop in Manotick called the French Cafe that is in a strip-mall off of Manotick Main Street on Eastman Avenue with a large parking lot. It opens at 9:00am Sundays so they'd be ready to go for our arrival at 10:00am. What say you all?

Dave - As you know, I live right around the corner, but I've never heard of the French Cafe. That"strip mall" is Manotick's only shopping centre and it fills up Sunday mornings. I wouldn't expect to be able to keep a corner of the parking lot to ourselves for long. It's worth a try though. Maybe I'll get you all out to Perth?!

Be nice to give it a try, especially while you're still in the 'hood.

Is River Road still ripped up all the way out there, Dave? Or did you come home another way?
I guess I could take Albion or Limebank. In any case, I can't be there July 8. Maybe the next week.

River has been repaved everywhere except for where the new houses are being built across from the abandoned Strandherd bridge. You're forced onto the bombed out shoulder going northbound, and into the bombed out northbound lane heading south. If you could just avoid that section, you'd be fine, Geoff.

I didn't go anywhere this morning (or since Thursday, really) thanks to a nasty summer flu bug that has me face-down on the floor. Seems I missed a lovely weekend... drats.
No solid decision made re: C&C location. I guess it'll stay the Trainyards until the masses speak.

Bump for Coffee at the Trainyards in the morning. Sadly, I can't join you all but I'll be thinking about you when I'm changing our newborn's diapers!
