PCA Events...
Hey guys, I've been a PCA member for over 5 years now but never went to an event/social. Did the driver DE a few years back but that was about it. Wife is anti-car-social and I never feel like going alone. How are they? How often do you guys go?

It's rare that I go but once and a while, we Rennlist guys will go out to one. Not much point in bringing the wife unless you get to know more people and they bring their wives. Conversations while the wives are around tend to be much more different.

I used to frequent most of the events when I was living on Vancouver Island... been in Ottawa 4 years now and haven't been to any. Since I've kept my affiliation with VIR (I'm still on the Executive of that region despite being in Ontario), I haven't felt "right" about attending the RSR functions... something about being possibly considered an outsider makes me slightly uncomfortable.
Lurked at a couple of lapping days up at Calabogie though... even wore my PCA shirt to one of them.

The new PCA social direct Isabel Starck is making a pretty good effort to inject more life into them. I was at the DCF one recently which was fine. Generally its not a spousal thing unless your OH is into cars, however.
