Default hosted pbx for canada?

moving my office as we are expanding and looking at hosted pbx solutions for my phone system. It is pretty incredible what is available now but not all are avail for Canada. also many of the companies have very mixed reviews. I need 10 extensions. Anybody using a service which they like and recommend?

thanks Overdraft, I forgot to mention that I am leaning towards 8x8, another option is fonality. I will look at Primus.
Ice; you brought a smile to my face considering how dry the subject matter. I think I will stick with the sattelite radio for the Audi btw.

I hope Primus PBX customer service is different group from the business VOIP. I used them 4 years ago and I found them to be smooth sailing most of the time but when glitches struck, I was getting poor response time. I lost phone access up to a day multiple times. Their VOIP customer service line was 24 hrs but the technical folks were not. I lost the connection at night and nobody got back until next business day.

Good to know that you are moving towards hosted PBX solutions. I would recommend therealpbx.com for the simple reason that their services are comparatively affordable and provide round the clock technical support. Initially I faced few issues related to the customized settings, but now it is running smooth.

Extensions should not be a problem as I am using 30+ extensions and yes they provide services in Canada.

Good to know that you are moving towards hosted PBX solutions. I would recommend you VoIP experts for the best reason that their services are at reasonable prices and customer support is so good.

Why not look at moving to something like Zoom Phone? We use that, works extremely well.

I use 3CX, I host it myself on an AWS Lightsail instance, I think it's $5 a month for the hosting. The software license is about $400 per year. I know there are hosted solutions available in Canada, just google 3CX hosted.

Works pretty well, kind of a love hate thing.

The good

- Works well with the app on my iPhone / Android phone
- Works fine with Yealink desk phones, also have have some Polycom phones
- Has all the things you would expect, attendants, queues, time sets, Voicemail
- Integrates with Office 365
- Integrates with Google speech to text to transcribe voicemail
- Easy to set up
- Pretty solid
- Works with any SIP provider, I pay about $70 a month for 12 DIDs with light use (45 calls a day)

The Bad

- There is some inflexibility, the prerecorded prompts are always prompting users to press * for an operator, this is not easily changed
- The phone app has some UI issues
- Support is sketchy, there is so much available in their forums and it's not version controlled, so you may find a solution that is not applicable to the current version

I used to use FreePBX and kind of prefer it to 3CX, but for my use case, we have been working remote part of the time, 3CX has better out of the box functionality.
