GTA - Speed Traps - Locations Updates
I thought fellow Toronto listers that are in the GTA could combine some knowledge about known speed traps in the area. They seem to be out in full force this year and in new and exciting locals. ! I’ll update this post with your info provided in the thread. Looking only for regular “spots” where you are almost guaranteed to see one. Benefit will come to those who do not normally travel those routes, but will now have some knowledge. If we collect enough, Ill map them as well.
Ill start off…
1 – High Park Area S/B Keele, just before Bloor (School Zone)
2 – Lambton Area E/B Dundas, just before the Humber Bridge
3 – Lakeshore E/B Lakeshore , just at the top of the hill before Jameson.
4 - Bathurst/St. Clair - S/B, at Heathdale (just south of the Cedarvale bridge).
5 - Parkdale, SB, just before it goes under the Queensway
6 - GTA west, walkers line and appleby line between Dundas St and Derry Rd
7 - Bayview ave. Post road down to Eglinton, there are at least 5 spots they frequent. Specifically they sit in the 1) Toronto French Lower parking lot 2) Crescent School Parking lot
8 - Bayview extension. Both directions. Under the bloor viaduct.
9 - Leslie St. NB south of 401 at Lesmill Rd
10- GTA west, Dundas Street in Oakville between Trafalgar and Third Line, both directions
11 -Northbound on Islington (north of Dundas) - hideout on sidestreets; hard to see cruisers
12 - Westbound on Bloor on the other side of the bridge at Old Mill
13 - Southbound Kipling between Princess Margaret and Rathburn (where speed drops from 60 to 50).
14 - WB on Eglinton right before Leslie
15 - EB on Lawrence between Mt. Pleasant and TFS
Ill start off…

GTA west, walkers line and appleby line between Dundas St and Derry Rd.
There are several spots on these two stretches of asphalt.
Never never speed on either, especially early mornings.

Bayview ave. Post road down to Eglinton, there are at least 5 spots they frequent. Then south of St. Clair in the trees just past the S bend, along with a few other random spots along the extension toward the lake.

GTA west, Dundas Street in Oakville between Trafalgar and Third Line, both directions, construction zone speed enforcement, it doesn't hurt/help that it's right by the Halton Police 2 District building.
