Thanks for all the feedback and praise for us. We ship into Canada daily and use UPS primarily as the shipper. We include all brokerage and duties into the sale so you know your landed price up front. We do our best to beat everyone, but of course cannot all the time. We always encourage people to shop around before buying, so please call me for a quote. I'd be happy to help! BTW, buying from us through our link here also supports Rennlist!

after a run-in with a piece of pipe on the 400 yesterday I'm now on the hunt for a set of PS2's, so far
Tiretrends $1748 + install
CDN tire $2083 + install
Braiden $1760 installed
Simply $1550 installed

I'm sure results will differ depending on brands, but for me Simply tire is 15 min away highly recommended and include road force balancing .

Do the prices you listed include taxes?
What size tires are you running?
Have you looked at the Super Sports or Hankook's?

all are taxes in.
225/40/18 285/30/18 But I'm seriously considering up-sizing to 235 295
unfortunately Michelin haven't sized Super Sports for the rear.

WTF?
I guess i am ordering from Tire Rack from now on.
mini rant over.
Just a word of warning about that: I ordered winter tires from them last year, and the tires I received were three years old. I called them on it, and they were a bit weasely about the way they're stored etc, but the bottom line is the same: 3 year old tires at half the price of fresh ones... end up costing the same as fresh ones.

The customer service experience was great with Tire Rack, but those tires are cheap for a reason.

That sucks. I'll be sure to ask in the future - but so far I've been good with my purchases from TR. Perhaps inventory that turns over regularly is a safer bet and they don't sell as many snow tires as high performance or 4 season sets.

It scared me off, unfortunately. The tires in question were Blizzaks for our Abarth, not what you'd call exotic tires. Whereas we just put new summer tires on the wife's MINI at a local retailer, and they were date stamped this May. Below is the complete text of their position on tire aging, so this story is fairly told. It felt to me like I wasn't the first person to ask:

Tire Rack works with the global tire manufacturers we represent to procure the latest production available. Our tires are never stored outdoors or in containers exposed to the elements and we utilize inventory control systems that rotate tires through our warehouses.

However low-volume specialty and seasonal tires that cannot be produced on an ongoing, economically reasonable basis are often only produced periodically by their manufacturers. Typically these tires won’t re-enter production until preexisting supplies have neared exhaustion, which can result in some chronologically older tires arriving at our warehouses that have previously been properly stored in the tire manufacturers’ warehouses or in transit to us.

Fortunately by having eliminated the negative influence of temperature extremes and exposure to direct sunlight, these new un-mounted, un-driven tires are known to age very slowly. You can learn more about tire aging and how to determine the age of a tire on our website ant the following URLs:

Their explanation would seem to suggest that one would find older specialty tires at every supplier, unless TR orders so many at a time that it takes them forever to sell out of that spec before placing an order for more recently produced tires.

Interesting food for thought. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I've bought 2 sets of tires from Tire Rack, first set was only a couple of months old, the second set was 5 months old, not overly happy about it but won't lose any sleep over it.

A coworker almost bought some tires on deep discount at TR, until he read the disclaimer that these were several years old, he chose not to get them.

^^^ I think Fuzion ZRI's made by Bridgestone Firestone was the last readily available street perf tire made in that size if I am not mistaken. Someone has to have some stock somewhere.
