Had a little time to tackle the T Lock system.
Took me approx 1 hour - most of the time was convincing myself I located the correct unit, the rest was convincing my partial colour-blind eye that the brown/blue and brown/green wires were in fact the right ones! I also connected the blinker function (one blink lock, two unlock) so that took a little bit extra to run the wires to the hazard light wiring.
Instructions were straight forward, unit works perfectly.
I have not tested the distance on it yet. Alarm function still works too.
Quality of the fobs is very nice (solid construction).
If anyone wants to check it out prior to purchasing one, let me know' I'd be glad to "demo" it for you.

Hey man that's a sweet car, can't believe you actually found one. I am in Toronto as we'll & it's been a mission finding a coupe. There's that one with 400k Kms but the interior needs a lot of work.
My hunt is still on

Thank you!
I was definitely in the right place at the right time. Is not a concourse car, but a great daily driver so far. The fact that I had to drive only 15minutes to see it - awesome!
I think being local helped as many folks from warmer climates are a bit more leery of some Canadian cars.

Amazing time at the Porsche IDS today.
Only issue was that my brake lights wouldn't go on and my front brakes like to lock up on the braking exercises...
Highly recommend the course, great group of instructors and students.

Brake lights was a faulty brake pedal sensor. Took it apart and put a little plastic grommet in there to maintain proper metal contact. Voila!! 40 minutes later and $0 and brake lights are back!

Just got back from Hershey... was looking for one of these at the swap meet but so was everyone else. I think at this point there are more people interested than in 993s.... maybe the bargain aspect... dunno.

Yeah, so the brake light switch MacGuyver lasted all of 4 days. Picked up a new one for a whopping $20 and all is good.
During the first warm day we had last week my car was stalling slowing down at every light. Always had the lumpy idle surge issue with the LWF and SS Cams - so finally ordered a Wong Stage 2 chip to help with the idle (hopefully).
Car getting new oil, belts, front CV boots, and re-glue of the headliner by the sunroof today.
I also need new front rotors and pads - man the big rotors are big bucks!
Will post impressions once I get the SW chip.

Stage 2 Steve Wong chip installed
The Stage 2 SW chip was installed today.
They also noticed that the throttle cable was a bit loose and frayed and replaced it.
I was having serious stalling issues when coming to a stop and pretty good idle surge the rest of the time.
The car now idles just a tick about 900. No surge so far.
Shifting seems smoother as revs seem to hold a bit better in between shifts.
The throttle response isn't as flighty as it used to be, more even and smooth.
Can't say I notice any real butt-dyno difference, but my main goal was elominating the stalling.
Also replaced the front rotors and pads - went with Zimmerman coated/cross drilled and Porsche OEM pads. So far very happy. No squeal and much better feel.
Sorry, no related pics, but car is going to Orion in the couple of weeks for a full detail...

High beams stuck on today
On way home today I noticed that the high beam indicator was light up. My high beams worked, but low beams didn't. If I pulled the stalk towards me about 1-2mm low beams would go back on. Did lots of searching and looks like I may eventually need a new switch (it had a new stalk installed 6 years ago).
In the meantime, I ended up slightly bending one of the contacts (big red arrow in pic below) and pushing the plate it contacts a bit - I had a narrow pair of Olsen-Hegar needle drivers, but any small thin pliers would probably work.
(I didn't have to remove the steering wheel, but I did loosen the shroud a bit to get better access.)
