Jack Stands

+1, hockey pucks work great. I have had so many sets from CT over the years on numerous cars and never one issue. Costco sells some decent stands as we'll.

See this thread for Esco jack stands in Ontario:

I picked up a set of Jackpoint jackstands and am very happy with them. Very secure, don't have to worry about damaging the body. Great service from the company getting them sent up from the US. I think it's the best product on the market. Yes they are definitely a bit pricey but then again so are Porsches ;-)

Well I have to agree, I want that towel to slip off too, but to really answer your question, check out this thread.

Thank you for this, Topaz.
At the premacanada.ca website, what looks like an ESCO jackstand goes under the name of AME-14980, no price mentioned!
Now, if these guys were also selling the AC Hydraulics low profile jack that Pelican sells, I would be really interested.
Nothing wrong with Pelican, it is just the fact that our CDN dollar is tanking down to .94 US at the present time on top of brokerage fee concerns.

Thanks jpoint!
At Xmas time, Cdn Tire store had a low profile Michelin jack reduced by $100. It is 4-in shorter than the AC but has worked well so far. It is also about 100 lbs.
It might be short for the rear lift as Pelican demonstrates the AC in their DIY. I will have to try it.
Now having 2 x Jackpoint-Jackstands for the back end, would be the cat's meouw.
