Default Way, way ot: warden & eglinton area?

Never been to scar in my life. What is this area like? Demographics, growth, safety?

Considering a business in the area, not to live there.

Thanks!

Large parts are low income. Crime.

It's large, hence the moniker - Scarberia, and there are several communities within it, each with a distinct identity.

You will see a lot of industrialized area in this Google map link https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.7278804,-79.2879617,17z, especially if you change it to the satellite view, you would have to go at least one main street east or west to hit residential area, so for growth, it will depend on what kind of business you are planning on running.

That shouldn't be too hard to figure out?

This might help a bit. I also have access to geo analysis reports that dig a little deeper, if interested PM me. Good luck with potential store #2

It's called "Scarlem" for a reason.

Criminal court is at Eglinton/Warden, Metro East Detention Centre is 2 blocks east of Warden. Lots of scrap yards and industrial units. Centennial College is there as well.

I was at the Warden/Eglinton court last week as I was subpoenaed for a fraud case (part of my job). Lots of retail around (big box stores) and car dealerships. It's really progressed over the years. Really depends on what your business is all about...the potential is there. As far as residential, Scarborough is all about pockets. You have the nice homes/neighbourhoods within the small pockets and then the larger pockets throughout that give the smaller pockets the bad rep. And no I'm not from Scarborough but my wife was and my in laws still are.....lol

Wife and I rented our first apartment very close to there about 8 yrs back when we first moved from Nova Scotia. I'd say it's your stereotypical Scarborough neighbourhood, houses are small boxes, lots of low-rise apartment buildings, many small businesses and all the typical big box stores.. very busy area..

Scarborough is an interesting area.

My wife's parents live in the Bluffs area and its hard to find nice homes under $800k...cross Kingston road and then you have the normal apartment/townhouse "crime" ridden areas. Funny how a road separates different income levels.

Have you considered Pickering?
