Default Safety and Emissions testing

Hi forum,

I have found my first porsche and i will not have it for a couple of weeks as it is getting delivered from Calgary.

I wanted to know would you recommend the vehicle to be safety and emissions tested at a Canadian Tire or a non European garage?

I live close to Barrie, and did not want to drive to the city(GTA) unless it is totally necessary.

Just would like some of you current owner's opinions..

For the record i do not feel comfortable bringing it to a Canadian Tire.

My car :

2006 Porsche 911 C4S cabriolet

You didn't mention the year of your car so I'm going to assume it's newer.
It's just code reading these days so go wherever it's closest to you.
They don't drive or sniff test any more.
Make sure your tank is full and you've driven at least 45 minutes

Heard good things about Auto Select in Newmarket if you want a Porsche shop working on your new ride.

Congrats on the new wheels!

If you have to federalize it then CT is the one that does it so might as well get the emissions test done there too BUT scan it first to meke sure the required number of readiness are copleted. If the car is in good shape, let them do the safety too.
