No. Shortage of volunteers and Pan Am games. Will be back next year...at least that what the web site says.

It has been approved for next year and a team is in place to plan it. As the plans become firm there will be a recruiting effort for volunteers, and hopefully we will get the support we need.

To bad. I'll miss this. Maybe they could delay the Pan Am Games a week or 2?

Delay the games? That would be silly. Last I heard 60% of the tickets were unsold. I wonder how many millions this is going to cost Toronto?
Yorkville Car show, would have been more popular...

yeah PAN-am doesn't interest me in the least ...
feel sorry for those who have to commute and are affected by the HOV lane chaos and all the extra traffic.

i was gonna try and catch a couple of jays games in the coming weeks as the team is doing well and i like to support a team that is doing well and getting results , this whole pan am thing is making me think twice though.
coming from Cambridge for a jays game is a trek at the best of times ..

Everybody was looking forward to the games ,UNTIL you actually put restrictions on the taxpayers and poor people who have to use these overcrowded roads everyday! To actually have the ***** to tell people who work their as# off for a living, work different hours, avoid rush hour,3 people only, etc.

Hi boss, can I work different hours please or maybe not commute at all for a month so the people of the games can get around? Go #$%^ yourself! How about we make the flippin games different times, like hey,non rush hour times! The biggest kicker of them all….These restrictions are imposed 2 weeks before the games have even started!

Hmm ,wonder why people aren't interested in the games that are screwing them.

Ha! I ran a similar rant through my head on the trek into downtown this morning. There are only 3.5 more days of a "semi-sane" commute left this summer.

I suspect that the HOV lanes will remain on the DVP and Gardiner permanently after this whole ordeal. Watch, they'll announce it during the Parapan games.

Good news is that Lakeshore Go Train is every 30 minutes and moving to every 15 minutes at some point...

My understanding is they need to electrify to go to a 15 minute schedule and this of course will take an eternity.

What was your address again Ronan? Looks like a lucrative short term rental opportunity!

I have colleagues that travel along this corridor from both the west and east. The GO trains are BEYOND capacity all day. You are lucky to catch standing room on the 3rd train ~ 1.5 hours after the one you initially wanted to take...

The city is too broken to host these types of events
