That's actually a great idea. During my Harley days, we always did a "season opener" and a "season closer" rides. Of course the fall ride was always more picturesque, but the spring ride we longed the most. Usually happened first or second weekend in May, to give everyone a chance to do all the spring maintenance. I will keep it in mind for Spring '16.

Enjoy the cruise.
Sorry to hear that.
Good luck with the repair.

I Am NOT doing a Siberian fall run Stan ... just to be clear

The fall drive isn't actually my brainchild, it was Jim that started it. But when he didn't want to organize it anymore it almost didn't happen one year, so I stepped in and did it, and have been doing it ever since, maybe 5 years now.
The Niagara drive was cobbled together from several smaller drives that I had taken over the years, as it's my backyard. I think the fall drive is well attended is it's end of season for many owners who look forward to one last blast and also its an opportunity to get together and chat about the important things in life. It's amazing that its grown in popularity to 60 cars from the 24 on the initial drive. At the time I was amazed we had that many cars as I'd planned the route around a dozen or so cars. I was also amazed that we arrived at the final destination at more or less the same time, which for the current crowded drives must be nothing short of a miracle.

But there's tons of Real Estate around to make up a drive and for anyone interested in organizing something just make up a good map, drive it to determine timing and possible choke points, and post it early.

If you build it they will come.

A family emergency has cropped up...looks like we're out.
Can probably make the rain date if its postponed.
If not, have fun, post lots of pics!

Damn, I can't make it again!

BTW, if the route has Decew Rd. on it like in the past you will enjoy a very nice newly surfaced road. Way better than before.

Any chance for the fall drive to be postponed to the following Saturday due to low temps? Low of -2, high of +6 on Saturday. Will be around zero degrees before noon. Following Saturday it's a low of +6 and high of +12. Far better for summer tire traction.

+1... I wont be making it either if the forecasts stands. My 911 tires and suspension dont do well at freezing temps, not to mention the occupant! LOL

We're going with the raindate. The forecast for this Sunday keeps getting worse, and the forecast for next Sunday keeps getting better. So it's official, Sunday the 25th!
