Very Sad News (Funeral Details) Edited
It is with sad news that I have to report (requested by his spouse) that my friend Mike Hilton has passed away this morning suddenly at home. Mike was a member here as well as a member of UCR and had recently attended the last Parade. I wish to extend my condolences to Karen his spouse, both families including Mike's sister and his friends. I will post details here of the funeral arrangements when they are finalized. 59 is too young to go - but he lived life large and enjoyed his Porsche to the fullest.

There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday September 17th, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. At 11:AM there will be a short service with a reception to follow back at the house. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.
Funeral home is: Oak view Funeral home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville Ontario L6K 1C7 www.oakviewfuneral.ca 905-842-2252
Note: There are two funeral homes side by side, Oak view is on the East side of the street across from Tim Hortons.
Reception to follow back at Mike's place: 514 Wellington Cres. Oakville 905-842-9147
And my request: Please drive your Porsche.
Thanks.

Oh no.
What a great spirit he was.
Always full of energy and so much fun to talk to. Always mocked my choice of yellow but I knew he was just having fun with me.
He'll be sorely missed.

That is awful. I liked Mike and his great sense of humour. My sincere condolences to Karen. I'll remember him as Mike the Bike. He raced competitively in Europe in years gone by and loved riding and had a great collection of riding machines at his house.
