Ladies and gents,

It's time for our next run!

DCI will be heading north to Clewiston, on Saturday, September 17th to the Tiki Bar for lunch overlooking Lake Okeechobee.

Here are the meeting points for our drive on September 17th, we'll have three:

1) Palm Beach and North Broward:
Pompano service plaza on the turnpike, meet at 9:30AM, leave by 10:00 AM and meet the South Broward and Miami crew at JuiceBlendz in Weston, on the NW corner of Griffin & Weston Rd. (Weston Commons Shopping Center) at 11:00 AM.

2) Miami:
Snapper Creek service plaza on the turnpike at 10AM and will depart at 10:30 AM to meet the Broward and Palm Beach crews at JuiceBlendz in Weston, on the NW corner of Griffin & Weston Rd. (Weston Commons Shopping Center) at 11:00 AM.

3) South Broward:
Meet at JuiceBlendz in Weston, on the NW corner of Griffin & Weston Rd. (Weston Commons Shopping Center) at 10:30 AM. We will wait for the other 2 groups to arrive, do a meet and greet. At this point we'll have the list of names that are confirmed, hold a brief drivers' meeting and we're on our way, departing at 11:20 AM for our run to Clewiston.

Please note:
At our last drive (Key Largo), we had over 50 cars and approximately 80 people total (drivers+guests). We filled up the parking and the restaurant as a group. If you're bringing a guest, please let me know. An accurate count is crucial for the parking and restaurant accomodations.

It's a pretty cool place to hang out and watch the airboats and bass boats go by. There are almost always a bunch of bikes there, from the V Twin crowd to the organ-donor cafe racer guys. Cute waitresses, too.

There are usually many more yuppies than rednecks, so no need to worry about a Deliverance-style encounter.

If by some miracle my wheels are finished in time, I'll try to make this run, but don't count me in yet.

Yeah...last year. I got tired of everyone asking "Is that the new Corvette?", "Nice Camaro!" and "Is that your girlfriend's car?"

Driving it was like sitting in a massage chair. Zero excitement, no soul or personality.
