Yup... I took the manual switch out to install it. Since I don't have the stock tail I didn't need it. I wrote a DIY on it years ago... You can see it HERE!...

I have seen people who get a key blank, insert it in the lock, wiggle it back and forth and see where the tumblers rub. It might take a light coat of bluing to see where the tumblers actually hit....
