The Cayman I had in the shop, it was immediately obvious when I pulled the cam covers what had happened.

My thought was if the owner had done some mods, and was possibly running higher boost pressure, maybe he needed a gauge that read higher than 0.8 bar. Or, maybe he just wanted a gauge that read psi...

If you've replaced all 8 coils with new ones, installed the correct plugs, and verified the connectors on the coils are connected properly, I would begin to wonder if a fuel pump hasn't gone out.
