Tried it this morning and it seems to work. Throttle response appeared to be much better. It may be a placebo effect, because I wanted it to work.

I don't think there is an oil pan. It was always my understanding that the filter blocks the big chunks and the oil keeps the dirt in suspension thereby necessitating changing it at regular...

I use 5-40 oil and it is quieter on start up

may I suggest that you might not rev cold engine?

Noticed no difference in shifting after the service. The PDK is a pleasure to drive; runs like the day I picked it up in June 2012.
