Looking at a cert. 911 - advice please

I'll start by saying this won't be my first P-car, previous include 2006 CTT, 04 996, 99 Boxter, 944 N/A and 944 Turbo.

I sold my CTT after the coolant tubes busted while going down the highway...

Thanks guys. This is where I show my ignorance. Where is the check valve and what does it do? Is it something I can replace or is it a dealer required fix?

Uh oh... already...

Just picked up my CTT last week. Really been enjoying it.

Today I filled up, got in and turned the key over and it started to sputter and the tach bounced up and down just south of 1k before...

The Turbo S is from a dealer and we know how that goes... no books etc etc...

Thanks everyone for the input. The dealer wants a 1k non-refundable deposit. I get the need for a deposit but I think 1k is pretty steep to hold something that you haven't seen.
