Yes I drove my 13 991 and 20 992 both c2 through buffalo winters. Winter tires and it’s more than competent as long as roads are cleared. Ground clearance is the only issue.

I could be wrong but pretty sure in sport mode it doesn’t do that. I assumed it was related to auto start stop being off but not sure as I am always in sport mode.

I have the RHOplate tow mount and very pleased. Doesn’t block the sensors and well made. I’m not running the risk of extra interactions with 5-0 over a front plate.

My thoughts after reading the break in topic before with a ton of cars is hard pass. I avoid dragging about at low rpm and instead vary rpms and generally drive it hard once proper temp is reached....

I agree the base is everything you need sans options. That said, I am really enjoying the PSE as you can still run the standard exhaust note when it pleases you. Nice to have the choice.
